CHALLENGE

Pizza is the most searched and sold item on UberEATS. And yet, customers prefer to order pizza from Dominos rather than UberEATS.

Problem Space

While working as an Account Manager at Uber EATS, I requested to review user data and feedback for the users in Orlando to possibly brainstorm on ideas to improve the user interaction on the mobile platform. I found out that;
  • Pizza is the most searched and sold item on Uber EATS.

  • Customers spend time searching for pizza delivery options, however, often they do not complete their orders.

 

Then I started researching what platforms are leading the pizza delivery industry and found that Dominos is leading the pizza delivery services in the U.S.

The initial research led me to the following research questions:

Are there sufficient food options on UberEATS in Orlando? How can we provide more options for customers?

What is missing in UberEATS in Orlando that users

would prefer to have, especially while ordering pizza?

What are the main differences of Uber EATS and Dominos?

How might we improve the pizza ordering experience to increase the order completion rate significantly?
